Hi,

I just wanted to get some opinions of good old SN on this one.

I've reciently moved closer to london for work. My G/F travels down every weekend to see me, which is nice.

the problem is that I have just been offered a nice short term job, that pays *very* well, but it will involve working weekends for 13 weeks - so I won't see the G/F for a few weeks at a time..!

Should I do it ot not?

I can't decide!!!!!!

Depends how much money....

I'm about to change situations which means I'll only get to see my wife at weekends for about 3-4 months. It's a downer, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

well, I'm a contractor so it's about 100 quid a day extra, plus bonuses for working at weekends...

What would you do if the roles were reversed ...

I'd ditch myself and find someone more worthwile ;)

I know my gf would go for this so long as there was something in it for her.. Like, I'll put the extra money towards a holiday for the both of us...

Wife’s and living in partners are different to girl friends, the women that live at home with their guys,
Have more to gain and are more secure, but the girl friends are not and as she’s a lone in the week already then having no way of seeing you at weekends too,
Would mean boredom or get out and enjoy her self, witch could cause her to meet some body else for company.

So I think it depends how much you want to stay with this lady? If your not too keen then go for the job, if your keen then don’t, and also hurry up with living closer together too.

13 weeks in the whole scheme of things is nothing. You will hopefully have the rest of your lives together so GO FOR IT

Cheers for the comments people.

We used to live together for 3 years until I moved closer to london to be nearer to work.

She still comes down every weekend to visit. The long term plan is for her to move down as well, but it'll take some time!

thanks
