Thanks to the Afghan freedom fighters who have hi-jacked the plane at Stansted any paperwork or applications sent to the club address will be delayed as Dick is spending 14+ hours a day there, and showing his mug on TV http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Sorry for the inconvenience, hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Mike Rainbird 08 February 2000 05:56 PM

Chrisp,
Hope you read this (you seem to read most things) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Just thought I'd let you know that I got my membership through okay and it now adorns my "Scooby". http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
LOL
Mike
PS. Funny, you'll be the only one to get the joke.... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Ian Cook 08 February 2000 06:03 PM

Mike, so when are you going to get the saph painted blue, gold wheels, big rear wing and fogs in the lower half of the bumper http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I get the joke too http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Jonathan 08 February 2000 07:11 PM

Then he can crash it on the track like the Impreza lookalike in Fast Car

Jonathan

ChrisB 08 February 2000 07:30 PM

I get it too Uncle Mike.

Tell us another story please, Uncle Mike, please...

Chris.

chrisp 08 February 2000 08:25 PM

One or two of the Midlands guys will understand as well http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. Honest Mike they forced it out of me http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.

I hope your cossie is going to be clean for Donno as I want some piccies http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif and send your baseball cap to the dri-cleaners http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.

I may even make it to Santa Pod if I can be bothered to get up early on a Sunday and in a fit state to drive http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif.

Glad you got your SIDC pack, crafty way of getting on the track days http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif. If I join the RS owners do I qualify for cheap insurance http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.

Cheers

chrisp

Mr. Bird.

I know of the scooby you own...I am one of the said midlands people who know what you have...chrisp and I spoke about it at the midlands Xmas meet.

I'm not from the Midlands (thank God http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif ) and I'm not in on this joke http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif but I'll bet it's some kind of model kit http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif. Well?

I can't spill the beans on this one...you'll just have to ask Mr. Rainbird to tell you what it is (its more embarassing that way http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif)

Mike Rainbird should attend the next meet in his Subaru. Why not bring it with you to donno Mike ? (tee-hee)

Cheers Chrisp,
I now know the three best methods of communication, television, telephone, tell Chrisp! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Anyway, it does the job, is brilliant on really muddy sites (it hasn't got stuck yet!), is a two seater, has a flat four and SELECTABLE 4wd, is easy to clean inside and out and the shee.., I mean women seem to like it! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
LOL
Mike
PS I'm sure this should be enough information to let the rest of you in on the joke about one of our company vehicles I sometimes use.... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif (that Chrisp was supposed to keep to himself to ensure that my street cred didn't take a rapid dive down the pan, not that it could get any worse mind you....)

Ian,
My car is already blue and already has fog lights. The 22B spoiler is on order and the wheels are being painted as we speak. I'm still trying to find someone capable of doing a proper job of fitting the bonnet scoop and then all I will need to do is disconnect one of the spark plug leads to enable it to sound like a scooby, as well as look like one. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
Might also give you all a chance at Donnington....
LOL
Mike

chrisp 09 February 2000 09:28 PM

You have got to admit Mike, secretly you wanted it to be relayed http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif. You went up in my street cred estimation anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif.

When the "road, track, field" gets tough the tough buy scoobies http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif or go shopping http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif.

Cheers

I have just spoken to Dick, he finally managed to get away from Stansted at 2a.m this morning (Friday) so normal service should be resumed at the SIDC office within the next day or so.
