Im wanting to partex my my02 wrx for A my02 prodrive sti but the dealer does not no wether he can exept it because it came from cypress and outside the eu so treating it as he would a grey import
should i take this up with my supplying dealer because it is uk spec ollthough it came with alcantra trim same as the uk300 .... any advice greatly exepted i want an sti..... but dont want to lose 3k in 6 months

From recent comments, I wouldn't be surprised if this was Motorpoint.

If the car is from Cyprus or Malta, then it's a non EU car, and you won't get the same warranty. In that case I suppose it could be considered as a grey import, in which case Subaru dealers can't touch it.

If the car was sold to you on the basis that it was an EU car (nothing to do with the spec) then your dealer is at fault, and you should take it up with him.

If you simply tried to save money by buying a UK spec import, regardless of it's origin, then I'm afraid there's probably very little you can do.

Trading Standards maybe?

All IMHO of course.

it was the first time id ventuerd in to the import thingand was told it was a eu car think i may be stuck with this for 3 years but i will ring my supplying dealer not motorpoint gibsons of brock
