Like a sad and currently bored no mates person I went into woolies and found a Scooby WRC airfix kit inc glue brush and paints for 4.99

Like I thought I ll have that done in no time, but actually to do a proper job will take most evenings this week! Oh well, I was looking for something to keep my mind occupied

Did they have the STI version cause its got to look like my car with a huge spoiler, and in Red of course ????????

ADP, they are really good kits actually for the money, very detailed, and very realistic when done.

You *will* get frustrated with the decals though - defo need to get a pair of tweezers for that bit. Some of them are about 2mm big.

I am a saddo as well and have the whole range, which consists of:

1. Citroen Xsara WRC
2. Ford Focus WRC
3. Mitsubishi Lancer (comes on its own without paint etc)
4. Peugeot 206 WRC
5. Subaru WRC as mentioned.

Now moved onto bigger models - in the middle of an SW20 MR2 1/24, but cant decide which colour to spray it. :D:D

Is this the 1/43rd scale Airfix kit? If so, you can make it look even better by modifying the front - cut away the plastic blocking the under-bumper intake and then stick the radiator decal onto the vertical bit of plastic (aka radiator) sticking up at the front of the floorpan section.

I'm a 1/24 man myself, I've got over fifty Tamiya & Hasagawa kits. How sad am I:D

PS That last bit was rhetorical, I don't need telling the answer:D

Strange  mine did.

Dont forget to paint the inside of the wheels black before you stick the 2 halves together. Looks much better.

Moved onto 1/24 now - they are very theraputic(and frustrating) actually :)

gonna have to find a shop to sell me one of those little tins of paint now, nowhere round here either does that sort of stuff

CrisPDuk 23 September 2002 04:49 PM

Most of my stuff comes from either Models in Motion 01438 740404, in Stevenage, via an excellent mail order service, or Cheshire Models in Macclesfield, down the raod from my house:D
