Hi,
If logic is applied then the mods (which are basically allowing the engine to breath better) should make the fuel consumption better, assuming you don't use all the available power all the time http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Darren, MY01 awaiting PPP........... |
Sounds like another reason to buy one.
So if there is a saving to be made on fuel consumption, I wonder how long it would take to pay for itself ?? Possible 30 years ?? Olly. |
Anyone know what this would do to the fuel economy of an MY01 ??
|
Ive got the PPP fitted to my MY00 and the fuel figures are actually slightly better than the standard turbo http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif but not that you would notice when you flying down those roads http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I don't think it will ever pay for itself unless you change your driving style, and that really misses the point!
What you should think about is the extra grin factor and what that would cost for the same performance in any other make/model of car Darren. [This message has been edited by dteagles (edited 13 August 2001).] |
I'm all for the 'grin' factor.. but unfortunatly I dont think the boss understands.

Didn't think those words went together - you are joking aren't you ?? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif Do what i do - fill the old scoob up and hand over the credit card. Seriously tho I don't think it makes a huge difference to consumption - just depends on the weight of your right foot http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif |
