A couple of mates hire a Micra for local rallies. They've done about 6 or 7 now, including the Circuit. Apart from going into a ditch on their first ever outing (shown on RPM!) they've kept their noses clean.......until The Ulster........

Barrel-rolled on SS12 after taking a humped-back bridge just a bit too quick.
P.S. they're both ok....apart from the ego and the wallet :D

I haven't heard yet, but they didn't take insurance, so I guess they pay the full whack.
I'm told they're looking forward to their next event - don't happen to know anyone with an Impreza to hire?..!!!!

No Insurance eeek! I thought insurance would have been manditory at scrutiny. I hear the excess for rally insurance can be between £3 & 5K.

There was an ad in autotrader with 3 scoobs for sale or hire in Antrim. I know a guy called Raymond Mason who prepares and hires out group N scoobs. Would be nice to get a go at one. Id probably leave it a bit like the Micra above.

The only compulsory insurance is your RDS which costs about £20 per single day event and covers you third party if you should hit (for example) other road users.
