Stash your money under the mattress, you'll get better returns given the state of the market!

I used to do a bit myself, bought my brand new scoob from what i made a few years ago then lost as much the next year, dooooo.

Try stocktrade and brearley for live prices on screen, halifax are ok too,all these are low in charges.

Just be carefull mate and dont get obsessed with it like i did and remember if you loose aload its only numbers and bits of paper.

Try property, buy to let 15% deposit down, look for growth areas in student catchment areas, good returns and rising prices, you might have missed the boat though, depends on where you are.

good luck mate

what would scooby do 16 September 2002 11:06 PM

I dumped all my investments/isa's and pensions and put it into housing - branching out into commercial property soon as you shouldn't put all yer eggs... yadda yadda.

Golden rule #1 if you can't aford to loose the money - don't invest it.
