Can anyone tell me if there really are any speed cameras on the road works at the Silverstone junction of the M40?

Going South to Junction 10 has had camera signs up for a while but my Geodesy has not bleeped yet by the time I've come off at 10 - unless they're between 10 and 9 ?

Thanx matey, i drove through there at well over the 50 limit posted, didnt see a flash though. And just why are the 50 signs still up it looks like they have finished the junction now?

Will be going up there tomorrow so will see what my Origin Blue I says !!

AFAIK those cameras are there for monitoring the traffic flow, and thats about it. ;)

The Police Speed Check signs are there because they tend to sit on the on hard shoulder, or the J10 bridge and get people there. I've seen them sat there, and they do go after people. :eek:

However, it is very annoying that the 50 speed limit signs are still up when the vast majority of that section has no workman are around. It's also annoying when you stick to the limit, and get harassed by juggernauts, and the like to speed up! [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Don't be silly. Everyone knows that the cameras are more about collecting fines to help pay for the road works than keeping anyone safe, hence the silly 40 limits in some areas.
The longer they stay up, the more money they "earn".:D:

Thanx guys this is very reasuring, perhaps i havent lost my license after all. I was caught by a laser camera on the M40 2 yrs ago.

Beware of vans on the bridge too..... they regularly have a lil white one avec laser cam
