Puff The Magic Wagon! 09 August 2001 02:25 PM

We've got an SIDC Track Day @ Bedford tomorrow afternoon/evening & there's been hardly anything on the bbs about it! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

We have TN with a tyre requirements thread, Hoppy regarding RTRS, 1 convoy from Dr Evil & that's about it!

What's up - why the general lack of communications? I remember threads running for weeks before Track Days. This is an event, its exciting, its about scoobies & the people here on the bbs & it sure beats talking about Speed Cameras & Audi TTs http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Whose going, when, how etc etc?

Me - I unfortunately do not have the required Pass to be able to drive, but I'm coming up to spectate, take a few pics, blag a few passenger laps & to talk the talk http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

What about anyone else??

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

TRIGGER 09 August 2001 02:33 PM

I'll be there - White Sti RA for those that dont know me - coming up from central London as early as I can slide off from work.

Cant wait to be honest - although looking at the weather could be entertaining !!! Personally I'll blame Dr Evil if it rains as it rained last time I was on track with him.

blubell 09 August 2001 02:35 PM

Ok ok but didnt think it was worth doing a convoy from Toddington!

Oh and I would like to appologise in advance if my other half turns up in his car (flash git) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif Although he wont bring it on the track 'cos he is afraid he might be shown up http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/cool.gif

mutant_matt 09 August 2001 02:36 PM

Scott J D, Shark and I will be there - if the weather is like this, even the drive up is going to be V.Entertaining http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

I think Scott is hoping to claim the fastest Scoob on the Day title ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif ) so who else is planning on being a contender???

Matt http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Dave Mackey 09 August 2001 02:38 PM

James,

No pass for the track whats the world coming too. I shall be there you can blag a ride with me and tell me how to drive proper like what you do!!!!

Also has anyone got a camcorder attachment (sucker type) that I could blag for the afternoon ???

See ya all tomorrow

Dave

Mkhan 09 August 2001 02:40 PM

Yeah your right...

Not just about this up and coming event but other trips as well..

It seems that if it is a "Offical SIDC Event" then its on the sidc.co.uk forums so you have to check there.

Isn't that a *reason* to drive? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif You can often have more fun in the Wet in a Scoob!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Matt http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Puff The Magic Wagon! 09 August 2001 02:55 PM

That's better folks - keep it coming http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Mark

It's not obligatory to have it on the SIDC bbs only - a bit of cross-polination never hurt anyone http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

However, would prefer to be driving myself tho' shine or rain http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Dave

Yup - I'll take you up on your offer http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif Not been driven in a P1 yet http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

BTW - if the weather is like today, I'll be the one looking like a drowned rat - coming up on the bike http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

[hmmm]

Wonder if they'd let me do a couple of laps on the GSXR...

stevencotton 09 August 2001 02:59 PM

I had no idea it was on, I saw your thread in the southern meets section this morning but I didn't know what it was about. I would have taken the afternoon off work had I known sooner! When does it finish? Anything going on afterwards?

Steve.

Tim Taylor 09 August 2001 03:14 PM

Just an observation - as it is an SIDC event, why is it not on the events calendar on their website? I know this is not a SIDC board but whilst we were on the subject...

Anyway, what time does it start tomorrow as I might like to come up and watch and keep James company http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif I'll even bring along my helmet and try and blag a ride.

Tim

Puff The Magic Wagon! 09 August 2001 03:21 PM

Steve

On the track from 16.30ish to 20.00, so pop along, watch the action, blag a ride http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Afterwards I think we're all off to a local hostelry for the feed bit http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Tim

It'll be good to see you - however, I'll not just be standing around http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Neil Smalley 09 August 2001 03:31 PM

Puff,

I'm bringing a mate who wants to buy a scoob but would like to experience what they can do on track. Any chance of him blagging a ride with you?

He's lighter than Dave TS so you won't need to worry about the rims of the tyres rubbing the wheel arches http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Neil

Sorry m8 - I'm in spectator mode only http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

I'm sure some other kind person/lunatic would be only too happy to show how a scoob goes http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

If I were to get my bike on track, then of course he could have a ride http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

DrEvil 09 August 2001 03:46 PM

Trigger - u know I always bring the best weather with me http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

Well at least if its wet the Pzero's might survive which is just as well, as their alledgedly are none currently in stock in the UK... well at Pirelli anyhow...

Alex

See ya tomorrow http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

scoobysnacks 09 August 2001 03:54 PM

Thought I wasn't going to make it after my MY99 PPP'd wagon was killed by a so called "joyrider" http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif

Anway I have now taken delivery of a MY01, which I have had in my possession since, let me see, this morning I think it was http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

It's barely run in so I won't be caning it too hard...famous last words http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
