I have absolutely no affiliation with Don, but I can vouce 100% for his coaching abilities.

Being able to coach people to excellence has very little to do with the coaches actual ability in the subject.

A world class coach can coach someone in subjects that they know absolutely nothing about (genuinely).

But to add to his coaching ability, Don is actually a pretty handy driver. He'll never be world champion, but he's no slouch. This just adds to his ability to coach car control.

Colin McRae would obviously kick his but in pretty much any discipline, but if I wanted to improve my driving through coaching, I would rather have an hour with Don than a day with Colin.

All the best

Simon

ARRON BIRD 03 November 2002 08:16 AM

I`d rather have a day with me ;)

ex-webby 03 November 2002 08:19 AM

arron

You could make a great instructional video, entitled "How NOT to do it!!!" :D ;)

ARRON BIRD 03 November 2002 08:21 AM

;)

philgr 03 November 2002 11:06 AM

Arron , you can show me how its done when we get to Bedford!!!!

I Have been out with Don palmer on several occasions and even been in with Mr SDB (AKA the Webmaster)on one of Don's wetter the Better Days,
so i can compare directly your driving skills ;)

Oh and if you require anything brought down from Ian @ Palmers i can prob fetch it down for you as i will be seeing him before badford.

ARRON BIRD 03 November 2002 09:21 PM

No seriousley dont let him forget my turbo pipe.

ARRON BIRD 03 November 2002 09:23 PM

Oh and I drive other peoples cars much faster than I do my own bit like the affore mentioned names;)

T5NYW 03 November 2002 11:49 PM

Guys,
There will be few drivers with no or little experience out there, like me  who'd welcome any tutition :D in the begining not at 5:00pm

Also how about us having 'L' plate or Coloured paper in the rear window, making obvious to cars behind we are beginers and not someone doing a slow down lap. you can then expect the unexpected

Tony

gazk 04 November 2002 09:35 PM

bedford should be quite a show with all this promised awesome driving prowess on parade :)

ARRON BIRD 04 November 2002 09:39 PM

Me I`ll just take my time.
Nice and steady.
Dont want to break my new car after all it seems to do that all by itself at the moment ;)

A good idea.

What colour should I use, or will L plates suffice? ;)

T5, you are welcome to come out with me. A good way to learn how not to do it.

T5NYW 05 November 2002 12:58 PM

Travis,
I can't make the 16th now :( but will be there on the 30th :D:D.

There coloured square paper in a rear window is a good Idea :D:D

Tony
