It is posh!

Never been, but keep meaning to. Michelin star, I think?

TopBanana 13 September 2002 04:44 PM

ChrisB 17 September 2002 10:28 AM

I hope they do deep fried Mars Bar! :D

Went to the Waterside in Bray a couple of months back - the one owned by the Roux Brothers chefs. Meal for 2 cost £400 !!! & a bottle of wine cost £118 !!
My work paid for it all cos I won a sales incentive thing.

To be honest - while the food was fantastic I am a real pie & mash man. That would have done me just fine.

Best bit was meeting a guy in the bar who had just bought a Ferrari 360 Modena the day before for £110k.
He took me for a spin in it the following day - what a car !!

If I remember rightly the Fat Duck is owned by a chap called Heston Blumenthal. The food is exquisite, the wine cellar is excellent and the prices can make you whince a bit. But it is one of the mostly highly rated restaurants in the area if not the country. Enjoy your meal.

P1Fanatic 17 September 2002 11:12 AM

Just imagine how many KFC's you could have for that!!!!

RoShamBo 17 September 2002 11:18 AM

Exactly !!

ChrisB 17 September 2002 11:42 AM

Yup, I'll take gammon, egg and chips please :D

RoShamBo 17 September 2002 11:51 AM

I nearly asked for chips but the wife talked me out of it...."you cant ask for chips HERE"
