Am I right in thinking that the suspension from MY99-MY00 including P1 suspension will fit straight onto MY97 car no problem?

Thanks,
Pete.

yup

Does that work for a MY96 as well - just made the exterior facelift, but still the original engine design.

all okay upto new age, and even then I suspect it's almost the same.

If you have complete units with top mounts already fitted, just under the whole lot, including top mounts.

The big bolts at the bottom of the strut can be a nightmare, make sure you have a 1/2inch drive breaker bar/beefy socket wrench and length of tube, and a ring spanner for the other side.

Don't even think about doing it with only a small socket handle, especially on older cars.

Done the big bolts at the top once. Not keen to repeat the experience...

Had to grind a hexagon on a deep socket for a spanner and 3' bar, and then use a long allen key (also with a long bar) through the hole in the socket. Took all day to get the tools made and crack the top nuts.
