Thinking about a 911 as a second car, budget of around £10000.
Thoughts anyone ?

10 large doesn't get you much of a 911 in the UK. Best bet on that budget is to get a left-hooker direct from Germany.

There are plenty of good examples over there for less then 10k, and LHD shouldn't matter if it's a weekend car. Also if you get it at the right price over there, you will be able to sell it here for same or possibly more IMHO.

sorry feel a bit guilty about doing this...But I've got a 911 sc targa for sale 1980, only 55000 k with FSH,old MOTs, car is mint! Its In todays Top marques for £10250 ono..

They are great cars,cheap as hell to insure, only costs me £225 a year !

I too am looking at a 911 as a weekend car :) I am looking at the 964 model MY89-93, just like the styling of this model

Looking to buy next year in the spring or summer, I am currently trying to soak up as much information as possible, I find 911 & Porsche world magazine very informative, lots of buyers guides + cars for sale.

Does anybody have any more info on good insurance companies for these cars ? does the car have to be a certain age to qualify for classic insurance ?
