Are there really people out there checking and being "feared" of various makes of car?

I'm usually too busy driving to give a toss about pillocks wanting a race and I couldn't care less about belittling somone else's choice of car.

Heck I can out run anyone who is sticking to the speed limit and driving with some responsibility and respect for others.
