I know a number of board members have purchased new Impreza's from Motorpoint of Derby over the last few months (STi 7s and WRXs).

I am still struggling to get the Service / Warranty book out of them. How many people are in the same position?

Please post or drop me an email so we can organise some group action if necessary.

Thanks,
Nick

Thanks to Iain from Litchfield Imports for some good feedback.

I'm still waiting for a show of hands to see how many others have this problem.

Cheers,
Nick

Should have bought a proper one!!!!from a proper dealer!!!!

The problem with service book will pale into insignificance, when compared to the problems you will have when you try to part exchange or sell the car.

Any savings you did make will disapear FAST.

I have a UK300 which I have had for over a year and still do not have the service book, even thought it has had 2 services by the dealers.

Neat hey

mark555, i think your mistaken, my mate bought a new 51 reg impreza off motorpoint lastyear for around 18k he did a few tastefull mods on it (made it into a UK300 lookalike) and sold it for 21k 6 months later.

Thanks for the feedback Mark, but I think you'll find that's another thread. However, I take it you're a victim of "rip-off" Britain.

1) The car is identical to a Type UK i.e. full Euro Spec with Cat 1, Tracker etc
2) It has a full 3 year warranty like the Type UK
3) Parts and servicing are identical to a Type UK
4) So I may loose a couple of hundred on sale (believe me I know as I've just sold an MY00 UK Dealer Sourced for the same money as people sell imports, and before you say it, for a lot more than I was offered Part Ex for a Type UK through a UK Dealer), but I've started out with a £4,500 saving!

Jim,
Thanks for the more "constructive" feedback. Out of interest, was that from Motorpoint?

Cheers,
Nick
