Plantie has a deal on tyres - http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=103753
Also Micheldever are worth a try too. Did me a fantastic deal on my Goodyear F1's last year. Stefan [Edited by ozzy - 9/4/2002 10:46:32 AM] |
Any recommendations for tyres, I currently have P Zeros. Also recommendations for companies with the best prices?? I have just trawled the net with not much joy.
Recommendations I have already had are Toyo, New P Zero. Bridgestone seem to be a good price anyone know about these? I am also needing to replace my brake pads - any views here? I do a lot of motorway miles, so going for the softest compounds on pads is not the idea but I owuld like to get more feel than the current spongy standard set up. thanks Syd |
Ferrodo DS2500 for the pads and Toyo T1-s for tyres, simple as that.

DS2500 for the pads.
Goodyear F1 GS-D3 for the tyres |
From the tests I've seen on F1 GSD3's and all the good word of mouth on hear - I'm going for them as well. They're quiet as well as grippy.
Pads - as above ! DS2500 |
I can't argue on that ,the new Goodyears won the EVO test, but I haven't tried them (make sure you get the New F1s and not old stock)

Thanks guys for the quick response. I'll take your advise on the pads and the tyres based on price...
Anyone know of where the best place is for prices? Syd |
I also have an RB5 WR Sport and have recently had Goodyear F1 GS D3s put on and i can honestly say i have never had such a good tyre!
Grippy as hell and relatively quiet ( compared to old P zeros! ) If you have an RB5 like you say then it will have 205/45/17s on the wheels. You will find that Goodyear do not make this size in the F1 at the moment so i would put on 215/40/17s which is what i have done after asking what size to replace them with on here. Hope that helps Mikey |
Thanks guys, a great help.
