Posted on SIDC asking for a decent place besides Autotrader to look for cars for sale and Money pointed me to Scoobynet :)

This is something I have been wondering. With all these users on here how did you all find out about scoobynet? I found out about it through Astraboy and he told me to come on here and look at something and I got hooked from there :D

Yahoo!

I was thinking of buying a Scoob and (IIRC) this site came out at the top of the list.

Doc@IlsonIlson 03 September 2002 12:44 PM

Mate at work, the same mate that got me to buy a Scoob ;)

Andy Porter 03 September 2002 12:45 PM

A drunken conversation with the bro of a scooby owner in a bar!

However due to a hangover the next day it took me a while to rememeber the website address!!!:)

chrisp 03 September 2002 12:53 PM

Cant remember it was 4-5 years ago. Cant remeber what I did last week :D.

davecarter 03 September 2002 12:54 PM

I was told by the Scooby dealer 'Cheam Motors'

darlodge 03 September 2002 01:03 PM

I saw a link form another forum. It had pictures of a convertible Scooby. After that I was hooked.

General search on the net for Subaru related sites the week I decided the silver scoob I had seen was going to be mine :D

TolTec 03 September 2002 01:12 PM

Google search found SIDC - which lists Scoobynet in it's FAQ.

tony1979 03 September 2002 01:15 PM

Pure luck. I was just typing in variations of "scooby" to find a URL that existed, when I came across this site.

It's surprising that there are so many Scoob owners that are unaware of it really. This community has the potential to be a whole lot bigger.

Jen 03 September 2002 01:54 PM

Yeah - listed on SIDC....I remember looking for stuff to buy at first and I never stayed long on the webpage as the shop never worked :) However, one day I clicked on that "Forum" button - and I've never done any work since ;):D

ian_sadler 03 September 2002 02:02 PM

Link from SIDC site ..... damn them :D

I heard about this from a very good friend of mine, Tony (aka Tony1979). The very man who told me to test drive an impreza before buying Audi (My choice of car was changed instantly), Thanks mate.

IanW 03 September 2002 02:16 PM

I blame Little Miss WRX for my being on here :p

Little Miss WRX 03 September 2002 02:21 PM

Saw it on a scoobs rear windscreen, wrote it on me hand (Had a rep mobile at the time) Nearly missed my exit off of the roundabout. Trying to write, wind my window down to listen to it, Get in the right lane and change gear :D:D:D:D

Worth it though :D

Paulo P 03 September 2002 04:58 PM

Andy

My boss has better than that, his mate reads scoobynet and reports back on me :( Luckily he doesn't mind :) he probably just doesn't know how much time I spend on here :D

MorayMackenzie 03 September 2002 05:53 PM

I found the original scoobynet whilst trawling the web for information on subarus. The second generation scoobynet only kicked of a year or so later after the original one was shut down by its owner.
