Hoping someone here can help me save some silly £££ on a very annoying niggle with the Scoob.

My drivers window wobbles so much I have to have it fully open or fully shut for fear of the glass breaking.

The problem is a small plastic bit inside the door, which is part of the window guide and running gear. I have tried to take a picture to show the bit I mean (see bottom of post).

If I want to get a new one from the dealer I have to order a whole new set of running gear at £90-ish + VAT! :(

I would be very grateful if anyone has an old assembly, door etc that has one in tact. Of course I will be happy to pay a "sensible" price for it plus c/p.

Cheers Matt

Matt - I remember when this happend on my <shudder> Rover 216. The thing snapped, then the glass fell down the door. We tried to glue new plastic things on the glass but it wasn't strong enough.

In the end, i bought a new window from a scrappers complete with plastic things - £20.

It may be worth trying some scrap yards first. :)
