You might just be able to make out the diagram.... i think you already have the harness so you can just plug it in...

The turbo timer was japanese (HKS) so the instructions only gave the jap impreza ECU i.e the GC8 ECU...

Someone like john banks may have an ECU diagram for your car...

or email bob rawle: fs66@dial.pipex.com

It could be B135, pin 26..... but dont quote me on it im just going off what it says on the link i gave... yours could be different...

does your ecu have a (blue), (grey), (black) plug from right to left... if so you want the grey plug (B135) and pin 26..

Anyone have one fitted to their car. My Jap Sti came with this Timer but it was in the glove box, not connected up. I think it has a harness on it as the wiring out of the back of the unit is conected up via male female conectors with the end bearing just one set of female coectors and one set of males plus two spare wires. i can get a pic if theres anyone who could help.

Here is the pic of the Timer and Harmess. Is it a case of just pluging into connectors, where??

Hi,

I fitted a HKS type 1 turbo timer to my MY95 WRX the other month...

The harness will plug into the ignition, you remove one plug and plug the other ends to the harness if you get what i mean..

Basically... there should be a 'grey' wire that goes to the 'hand brake' wire....

a 'brown' wire which goes to the ECU 'rpm signal' wire... i have a picture of the GC8 ecu that came with the turbo timer with identification of the ECU wires you need...

And a 'blue' wire that goes to the 'speed signal' wire on the ECU....

See the picture below for the wires you may need at the ECU, on the GC8 ECU is (F-5)..!!!

This link is usefull

yours could be different as it is an older model..

My turbo timer was an automatic one so you might not need to tap into the ECU...

Have a look here yours may be similer to this one..

dhorwich

Can you email or repost that ECU wiring diagram, please. I'm interested in the MY99 ECU.

Thanks in advance.

No - I just want to know which pin is listed for the speed output for a MY99 ECU.

Pic can be found here --> http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=129157

Thanks...... Now are those the plug diagrams, or the actual sockets on the ECU?

dhorwich 08 September 2002 04:47 PM

From the second link i gave you it says that the diagrams are looking into the mouth of the plug.... dont know what that means.....

I think it is as though the plug is connected into the ECU...??
