Hi, ive just bought IBM DeskStar 120 GXP,82.3gb.

Im having trouble getting it working right.

ive the following Jumper settings
16 heads
15heads
32gb Clip
Auto Spin Disable

Then the normal master,slave.... on each option.

So far setting on master on all 4 options its only seen 32gb.

I need to Fdisk to make a linux partition but if its not seeing all the 82gb, how do i fix this issue?

Could it be BIOS related?

What does the BIOS see it as then, that'll tell you if its a BIOS problem ;)

If its being seen as a drive at all it means its not going to be a jumper problem.

Just tried again, took all jumpers off and it came up with 12993Mbytes!

Will 2k install see it as 82gb!Suppose i could partition it there

if you enable a 32GB clip then it will only see 32!!!!!

switch that off!

Ive got it working now! think i used 16 heads! off to attemp linux now :S
