Can someone please confirm that either
a) I've lost me marbles or
b) there's a serious misprint on page 11-44 of the STi Type UK manual.

I bought some vision plus H1 bulbs (after looking at a thread on here) - looked in the manual - second section on page 11-44 - how to change Low Beam light bulbs. Opened bonnet - looked a doddle. Decided the existing bulb looked nothing like Philips H1. Eventually realised I was removing the HIGH beam HB3 bulb.

The correct low beam bulb is further down and looks a lot more awkward to replace.

I'm not going mad am I????

No you aren't!:)

The dip beam unit is indeed the difficult to get to one at the bottom:)

Cheers Dave - any tips to make it easier????

Dave, just half the story like usual, we're not talking abou PPP now!

Sorry, just being sarcastic, any tips would be good.

Cheers

Sorry about the half reply.....;)

If you take the air intake trunking off on the offside, you can get to the dip bulb ok if you have slim fingers.....

The nearside is just about doable as is, but it makes it easier if you take the battery clamp hook off at the front of the battery. Once you have the large plastic cover off the lamp gently pull a bit more of the wire through the cover to allow it to go to one side and clear the bulb better.:)

I guess if it's that difficult to get to the risk of an HID conversion to the dip beam being feasible is a no no.

This was something I was vaguely thinking of, based on hearing of the HID conversion that scoobysport do for the morrette dip beam.
