Got the pics at last. Don't look too bad now ;) [Edited by dnb - 9/1/2002 10:08:12 PM] |
I've got my SuperTs refurbed now, but I can't seem to get hold of the stickers for them. I scanned the sticker into my computer, and have produced a vector graphic file, now all I need is a vinyl cutter to make a set of stickers.
Would anyone be interested in either helping me out with getting them cut? (Or knows where the originals can be bought for sensible prices) Or does anyone want a set or two, as I could get some vinyl and find a cutter to do them myself... |
I bought some ready made from Listers @£2 each.

I'll send you the vector file tonight when I get home.
Do you have a format preference? And I'll put up some wheel pics after they go on the car - should be friday at the latest - I still need to have tyres put on. |
Sorry - I didn't send the file last night.
Must do it tonight. I'll TTT this to remind me... ;) |
Phaynes....what size are the centre caps you require.

Hi V5,
The diameter of the front of the centre caps are approx: 57mm & this is what they look like: http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpi...3329797065.jpg Any help? Paul |

They look great m8,
I considered gold too along with silver,anthracite,pink,purple...... What did the refurb entale? Mine included shot blasting (Bad Move!) and then a lot of prep work, spraying, laquering. Paul |
Had to get them beaten back into shape first. Two were OK, and two had flat spots... Lepsons look like they did a good job. I'll know more when I get them on the car!!
Then I smoothed out the worst kerb marks and chips (fortunately many more chips than kerbs!) I only took off paint off the wheels so as not to eat into the alloy. (apart from one or two sharp burrs that got shown a file ;) ) Then there was some more rubbing down and general prep - just enough to provide a key and for the surface to be smooth, followed by priming the bare spots of alloy and spraying (I went for the 2002 Subaru gold - I thought it more subtle than the standard OZ gold) and finally a few layers of laquer. I'm quite pleased with the way they turned out - was a bit concerned about my spraying ability, but I guess that spending time making RC scale model boats helped here. I decided against any form of shot blasting, as they were only looking a little tired, rather than totally wrecked. |
