Can someone tell me how the best way to attach a turbo timer?
It was fitted before I bought the car and is currently stuck on the side of the centre console with sitcky velcro. This looks sh*te and keeps coming off. Every time I get in the car I have to re attach it. Is there a bracket available that I can fit that it will slot into or is there a better place to re-locate it to? |
most re-locate to the top of the steering column, have no idea of attaching methods though??

mine is on the drivers side of the console like yours.
stuck on with glue i think. never comes off so its ok by me |
Cheers Steve,
I just don't really wanna go glueing it on if I can find another way. It's starting to get on my nerves now as I have to re-attatch it every time I get in. Looks like the glue option is getting stronger though. |
Can u not try the number plate sticker things, i suppose effectively that's using adhesive but they sure do stick!:D

Good idea. I tried the interior mirror ones but with the recent hot weather they too have been coming unstuck.

Or failing that hows about a staple gun;) lol

6" nails?

I had the same problem due to the interior getting so hot it was melting the adhesive.
I cured it by taking the turbo timer case off, drilled 3 small holes in the top of the case, marked the underside of the column/dash using the holes you made in the case as a guide, drilled some small holes again, and used the smallest self tappers I could find to attach the case top. Then just fitted the turbo timer back into its case top. DazW '94 White ST205 WRC |
Try Blue Tac, I attached mine on the underside of the driver side of the dash.
