Long shot I know, but here we go. MY97 70K on clock, recenlty I've noticed a creaking noice coming from the drivers side of the engine, I think it's coming from around the downpipe area. It makes the noise even when stopped and I push down the go pedal. It's quiet loud and p!ssing me off.
Any help apprecaited. Cheers, Leigh [Edited by LeighJ - 8/22/2002 12:39:08 PM] |
can it be heard from inside the car only ?
try opening the bonnett & moving the throtle from there can you still hear it ? if its just inside the car check the throtl pedal, mine creaks but a but of wd40 & its cured |
also worth checking the downpipe is secure at the bracket from the gearbox, if this is loose, the dp moves against the bracket and squeaks.

Cheers guy's
Barge - i've tried moving hte throttle from under the bonet and you can hear, and it's louder, so it's not the pedal itself. I'll check the downpipe is secure. Cheers, Leigh |
