Well after a couple of years of driving two scobbies and lurking on this board for about as long it's time to wave goodbye. The scooby went back to the lease company this week to be replaced later in the year by a Bora 150 TDI - thank you Mr Brown.

Nothing wrong with the Bora, in fact these 150 TDIs are pretty spectular but it's just not a Scooby.

In the past two years I don't think there's been a single journey of more than a couple of miles where I haven't been smiling from ear to ear at some point or other. No other car I've driven or been in has been able to extract so much fun from so few miles.

This forum has always been fascinating reading and vey helpful at times too. My guess is that I'll continue to lurk for some time yet but as the memory of the Scooby fades I guess I'll become a more and more infrequesnt visitor.

So goodbye to all the potential friends and nutters I never made or met and if you see someone in the South Bucks area waving at you from a Dark Blue Saab 9-3 or, later in the year, a black Bora treat him kindly - it'll be me forgetting for a moment that I'm no longer driving the best value for money performance car in the world.

Contributed almost nothing in fact... and that's in two years! But I visited almost every day honest.
