I am going to wire up the DEFI gauges in my car. I am going to pick up the power from the harard switch.

The problem is the switch has 8 wires and my DEFI control unit has 4 wires.

The Hazard has the following wires:
Purple with Silver Dash's
Black with Yellow Stripes
Dark Green
Yellow with Green Stripe
Turquise with Black Stripe
White
Brown with Red Stripe
Black with Green Stripe

The DEFI has the following wires:
Red= 12v Permanent
Black= Earth
Orange= 12v Ignition Switched
White= Illumination

Which wires do I match up???

Someone please help.

Quickest way is get a meter on there and find what wire does what, I have my Defi's wired into the radio wiring look as all the wires needed are there too.

+12v
-12v
Switched +12v
Illumination

Why not take the connections from the back of the stereo? A bit 'cowboy' I know, but it's easier than fiddling with splicing into the ignition wires and fuse box!! :eek:

Or get someone who knows what they are doing to fit them!! I did! ;)

If I take the wires from the hazard switch it will be easier to route the cables and look neater.

I already have my phone kit attached via the stereo.

if you take a wire from the hazards the lights in the defi will be on all yhe time

Cheers Gossy.

I have taken the feeds from the stereo.

Gossy,

If you take the wires from the Hazard switch why will they be on all the time?

Mine are wired in by the Hazard switch and they are not on all the time, plus the wiring is a lot closer to the gauges.
