Going to Dubai in a few weeks, any good places to go or any good car shops???

All the kids (<17) are given their dad's 500 Mercs as hand-me-downs and the place is simply full of chauvinism and blatant wealth. Last time I was there we got into a fight with a bunch of French Navy Sailors over a game of pool, purely cos we won (well I suppose that's not unusual anywhere though). Let's just say it's a good place to earn dosh but boring and a place where you will learn a lot about other cultures.

Mind you I like the afternoon 'siesta' but you have to go back to work in the evening ....doh!

Where are you staying? The outdoor Morrocan area at the Royal Mirage is v.v.v.nice.

Used to live there as a wee bairn... dont think my Dad had to pay any income tax... which is nice :)

brotherinlaw lives there, so needing hols and decided to go over for 2 weeks!! cant wait to get away from it all
