Duracell 13 August 2002 09:39 PM

Hi Everyone,;)

Sorry if this is a bit short notice, but following being unable to arrange Davidstow meet for the time being,i've decided to arrange a meet this Sunday as some of you have requested this.

Intentions are to try & meet up with some of our friends from Bristol at say Exeter & go for a"cruise"into Cornwall, stop off somewhere for lunch & a yap, then more"Scooby'n"along some nice roads, maybe stopping off again before going our seperate ways.

As this is such short notice will E;mail as many of u as poss.that i know about.
I will sort out a route etc..but for now i will arrange to meet at these times & places:

Sainsbury's Marsh mills 9am-Cornwall/Devon mob
Exeter Granada Services M5 10.00am-10.30am Somerset/Bristol mob

If you could all let me know a.s.a.p how many of you will be coming, then i'll know if it will be worthwhile.

SORRY once again for short notice(uncertaincy about Davidstow etc..)

Cheers all...Duracell :D:D:)

Hi everybody,

Really sorry, can't make it this week, had a shipment from Japan to deal with + someone px'd a massive great Jag for the FTO we had for sale. The house looks like a car park right now, and we have a 'dusty bin' on hire for a week and hav'nt started to fill it yet with the old cellar stuff.

mmm. I wonder if a Jag fits in a skip?

I'll be there for the next one though, how about trax2 2002?
should be a big show.

Lee & Gill

JoanUK300 14 August 2002 08:54 AM

Any chance of a map please???.....We`re not sure where this is!!!

Thanks
Joan.

Big_Snapper 14 August 2002 09:03 AM

Are those timings correct? Or have they been reversed?
If you are going down to cornwall would it not be better to have the Bristol crew meeting at Exeter at 9.30 to meet up at Plymouth by 10.30? Otherwise the bristol guys will not be in plymouth until about 11.15 or so. I hope i have not missed the point here!
Keith.

Prodrive Sim 14 August 2002 11:34 AM

Tim Johnson 14 August 2002 10:41 PM

heya wat r the numbers looking like? seem 2b a few no's !!! wat time would we meet in plymouth ? comin down 2 cornwall?

Duracell 15 August 2002 09:30 AM

For those of you who aren't quite sure what's happening?
Well its like this,Some of us are meeting at Plymouth Sainsbury's-09.00 just off A38 at Marsh mills,we are then drivin' up the A38 to Exeter services M5 for 10.00 to meet anyone there who's coming from Bristol/Somerset,so far it seems just Andy(Scoobynut)from Taunton, then we are going to head back into Cornwall along A30 so hence we are not going back to Plymouth,(Big_snapper)!!
Hope this clarify's our intentions.

Need to know how many we will be meeting at Exeter so we know who to wait for.

Must go for now as a bit busy!!:D

Thanx Duracell :)

Ian

scoobdoo 15 August 2002 07:01 PM

So is it just Andy who is coming from Bristol area? If so, is it worth him meeting us in Plymouth? (thats if he doesn`t mind!)Its a shame there are so many no`s for this meet. See you all on Sun!

andy steer 15 August 2002 08:04 PM

Hi lads and lasses, could we not leave Exeter and go somewhere via A30 down around the N/Coast in a big circle,I,m not moaning but it would be more equal mileage for everyone, what do you all think. Please dont shoot me for this suggestion.Duracell, no new wing yet !!!!Bogger.
regards,Andy,Scoobynut.

Eagle7 15 August 2002 08:31 PM

Lo all

Had suspension done today at ashburton and they charged me half what i was quoted at Carburetion and injection tuning!

I now have my head in the clouds! :p front is 4 CM up and rear is 3CM up and the handling is very tight and very different to what it was before. Will take some getting used to! You will have to go easy on me for a bit ;)

Duracell 16 August 2002 09:44 AM

Not looking good with friends from Bristol, likewise a few of the"new"boys down 'ere !:( Never mind, always another time !

As for Andy(scoobynut),must agree its a long way for him to come all the time to meet us guys down here,& i dont want to be the one who makes the decision to ask Andy to meet us at Plymouth again????
Up to you guys!!!
Maybe this meet was a bit short notice after all??

"Eagle7",no worries,we'll allow for your"new"suspension set up & i may have"missus & kiddy"along for the ride this time so i will have to"bite the bullet"too on my right foot :):D!!!!& + i seem to have that intermittant"Boost cut out problem again":(:( HELP!!!!!

But regardless of all these things i'm sure we'll all have a good day:) as we have done so far with our meets :D:D

See you all Sunday...Duracell :)

Tim Johnson 16 August 2002 11:43 AM

so wat are the numbers ? do we know yet? and r we gonna come bak towards cornwall or up 2 exeter?

Tim Johnson 16 August 2002 07:35 PM

heya so how many r there gonna be,wanna know whether its gonna be worth the petrol! will we come bak towards cornwall or head further away ? wat time would we meet at plymouth? is that the sainsburys near Alan Jeffrey Tuning ? im just tryin to sort out whether to get day off work !

springbok 16 August 2002 09:30 PM

Hi Tim, Yep it's the Sainsburys by Marshmills roundabout, meet at the far end of the car park by the railway track. Duracell and Scoobdoo come up from Cornwall so keep an eye out for a Terzo and a Type R. If all the usual suspects turn up we should have 7 at least and hopefully a few new faces. Duracell's plan is Plymouth for 9AM then M5 services at Exeter for 10AM. And then back down into Cornwall via A30, possibly around Padstow, Camelford area. Hope to see you, cheers, Grahame.

andy steer 16 August 2002 10:08 PM

Hi Guys and gals, see you at EXETER for 10am, dont know who else is coming from this area.
Andy ,Scoobynut.
P.S. Duracell YHM.

Duracell 17 August 2002 09:40 PM

Hi Everybody,
"Boost problem"has been gettin worse so was umm'n & rrr'n as to whether to go tomorrow or not,but i just couldn't let you guys down!!!:D
So u'll all have to bear with me out on the road & i'll have my Fiancee & her Daughter too, just to keep an eye on me also!!!
so maybe have to drive a bit"sedately":(!!!!

As for the route, thought we'd head down A30 to Okehampton, after leaving Exeter services, then head across toward Bude on coast(hopefully weather be better than it is now),stop off at Widemouth Bay,then find a pub to eat.
This i thought to be fair for Andy & Jo from Taunton so as not to drag them too many miles into Cornwall.
Any other thoughts then feel free to say tomorrow.

"Scoob doo"will see you Trerulefoot gas stn.about 8.30 as will another Scoob(red),whom you've already met apparantly & a"new"member to the mob :)

See ya all soon....Duracell(on half POWER!!!):D:D
