Toyota Yariss
Girl running out of infants school in the car park where all the mam's and dads are waiting to pick them up. She runs up to and gets into a lovely blue Yariss that stands out from the rest.

The lady in front seat turns to the little girl who's just got onto the backseat and says something like 'isn't that your mummy's car over there?"

The little angel faced girl turns to her, whilst sitting proudly in the back of this lovely Yariss and says with a menacing look on her face:"JUST SHUT UP...AND DRIVE".

Have to say I pi$$ed myself laughing when I heard her say that!

NEW BUDWEISER AD
Apart from the classic radio commercials 'real american hero...' this was a really funny new tv ad with two blokes in the boozer. One's telling the other one all about this girl he's just split up with saying stuff like 'she didn't realise how good she had it with me', etc... and at the end of each sentence a buzzer rings and says either 'TRUE' or 'FALSE' at the bottom of the screen. Really funny.

True.

The Golf Gti timewarp one is pretty clever.

No use as an advert of course, as who would but a GTi these days.

I absolutely love the Pug 206 advert in India :D:D:D

Funniest one for me is the one with the diving competition.

Aussie guy, rippling with muscles, does a fantastic dive, gets a good score. Italian guy does an even better one.

British guy, the favourite, considerably over weight in bespoke bermuda shorts, does a "running bomb", soaking the judges. Wins with full marks :D

I have no idea what the product was as I was crying with laughter by this point.

I'm with Mickle on this one, the Indian/206 advert is superb.

Pete

I think that one is for John Smiths (someone correct me if I'm wrong!).

206 ad is the best on tv at the mo :D:D:D

Darren,

Im pretty sure that ad. is for the Toyota corolla, not the yaris, that ad. money is well spent! Good ad though, shame about the car though!

The Peter Kay ads are fantastic too - the High Diving as mentioned, the "Wardrobe Monsters" and the bunch of blokes playing keep-up with the football, then it gets passed to the fat bloke who hoofs into the neighbouring houses "GIVE IT!"

Got to agree taht 206 ad is great, but its the Toyota one (corolla?) that really makes me chuckle with the look on that little girl's face!!

:)

Incidentally you can play ALL of the budweiser "Real Men Of Genius" ads here:

(even some that haven't been released here yet!)

The Domestos ad's with BB's Alex are quite good too.

I'm also with you's on the 206 ad, it's a classic.

John Smiths is the diving ad when he whip's his shorts down and jumps off the high board.

rik1471 13 August 2002 11:18 AM

If you like John Smiths try these:

http://www.aviz.co.uk/stuff/johnsmiths/index.htm

Includes the banned 'where do babies come from' ad.

CrisPDuk 13 August 2002 12:54 PM

Caz, The one on the high board where the guy whips his shorts off was for Imperial Leather, who were sponsoring the Commonwealth games

caz1562 13 August 2002 09:32 PM

D'oh, thanks Cris
