I am tempted to trade in my STI3 Wagon , for new shape model WRX

Looking around Jap Import WRX are swapping hands at a lot less money than equivalent UK model WRX, and it has crica 250 bhp to boot.

Anyone on this board got an import new shape WRX ( non STI) from Japan ? Presumably its a fair bit quicker than a UK WRX , and not too far off a UK STI ?

I suppose main issue would be servcing however as seen as I am on my third grey import I dont see this as a problem , due to good local specialist .

With a full de-cat on UK fuel you will see about 245bhp.

Jap WRXs have 16 inch wheels and some have semi auto boxes

Yes I have seen a couple of jap import WRX's to date and they seem to come with the classic old impreza shape 5 spoke wheels in an anthracite colour.

It wouldn't be a semi automatic I would go for , manual would be a must

Another thing to check out is the brake set-up. 2 pots were common on the first JDM WRX brought in direct. The WRX-NBR has fixed this though and comes with the same 4 pot brakes as the UK/Eurospec models.
