Hello,
I am considering some Eibach Pro kit springs for my car and after reading some of the threads on here I am slightly confused about which way to go. How much do they lower the car (Advertised as 30mm)? I would like to reduce the gap between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch, without going too low and stiffen up the ride a little. Car is MY98 Turbo saloon with standard dampers and 205/45/17 tyres Many thanks George |
George,
I have the springs on my my00 salon, they lowered the car about 10mm, NOT 30mm, however the car looks so much better for it, the ride I find to be brilliant, not too stiff, but stiffer than standard, with flatter cornering as a bonus. With 17's I don't reckon you'd wanna go much lower, the ground clearance is getting low as it is, mind you, I live in the sticks, and do a fair bit of driving down country lanes with animals to go over!!!! I'd have to agree with Ron.
It doesn't lower it as much as 30mm but does look a lot better. If you get the geom set up properly at TSL or Powerstation after fitting you will really notice a differance in the handling:D:D:D Plus point is that the ride is still supple enough for your Gran:D:D Iain. |
i have mentioned this before, but when i had mine done in May i didnt realy notice much height difference but when i was at my local dealer and compared it to an identical car (same year/wheels etc) the difference was about 10-15mm
car feels better at fast speeds and not too hard on general use. ideal for what i wanted |
I absolutely agree with Dyney. I run 18's with Eibachs and standard dampers and am very impressed with all aspects of handling and ride.

Agree with all the comments made - Powerstation now their stuff. Get the rear whiteline ARB whilst your there - worth every penny.

Sorry Know not now!!!!!!!!!!

G Bruce,
Where did you buy your car from. I sold a MY98 to a garage in canterbury and I'm sure they said the person that bought the car was called Mr Bruce. WAS IT YOU. |
