Phil 08 June 2002 12:07 PM

Lets wait till the weekend to see what the Commitee come up with as I for one would prefer to assist the SIDC in an organised event

Rather than try and organise one ourselves

I have a lot of respect for SIDC team and their experiance

As for the coments about

Don't they want to make money
No the club isn't set up to MAKE money its set up for like minded individuals to enjoy there cars

Dissing the commitee is neither productive or helpful

Lets hope Stef and the crew can come up with something

Perhaps any volunteer's would care to post up there names to give Stef an idea of the help that would be available

Phil

only a month to go and what are we doing?

if nothing is sorted by the end of the week...i think WE/I will now have to look at sorting this out our/myself.

whos up for that?
i think if we contact TRAX ppl and say we have a group of Scoobs coming down, obiviously not in conection with SIDC (as TRAX ppl must have fell out with them) we should get our own area again.

cant have TRAX with out 200+ scoobs there!!!

does anyone have a fone number for the organizers?

whos in and whos gonna wait for SIDC to get it organized?

or has someone already done what i'm sugesting?
Phil

Graham Beal 05 August 2002 06:28 PM

Phil, gotta say Trax is one of the best shows of the year, if you sort something out for the show then let me know cos Im up for bringing my Scoob 2 it!! :D

King RA 05 August 2002 06:45 PM

I'm up for going to this. Anyone from the N.W London area going too?? (Uxbridge, Harrow e.t.c).

mutant_matt 05 August 2002 06:46 PM

Phil,

Just did a search on the SIDC BBS and there is no official statement. Why don't you try getting in touch with Stef or Pete and see what they say?

Matt :)

P.S. If I do come (not sure on the date), NO I DO NOT WANT A STICKER... alright? ;););):p:p:p:p:p:D:D:D:D:D

salsa-king 05 August 2002 06:51 PM

Matt
amanda will make you buy one this time!!!! lol
she called you all the way home...tight ****, duck's something...she was saying! lol only joking!
but you will buy neon won't you?

i think Stef/Pete already knows the feeling of the two BBS's
must be up to us now to sort this out!

zip106 05 August 2002 08:03 PM

Somehow I seem to have found myself a ticket on a *French* car clubs stand...dunno how, but I have.:)
But if anyone sorts anything with the Scoobs I can always change! I just don't fancy parking in public carpark.

Phil 05 August 2002 08:43 PM

I understand there is a SIDC committee meeting shortly where this matter is going to be disscussed

Phil

DAVE-W 05 August 2002 09:18 PM

CRAFT 06 August 2002 07:06 AM

Phil, we're defo going, sound's a good idea to me, if you need a hand sorting anything out don't hesitate to drop us a line. I can't see why TRAX can't accomodate for us as there's loads of room, even on the grassy area. Why not contact SDB about this as well and see if we can use the Scoobynet name etc. TBH, I wouldn't bother waiting for SIDC to get in contact just go ahead and get the ball rolling m8.
TRAX won't be the same without the scoobs, so lets get something sorted!!

CRAFT 06 August 2002 07:25 AM

Right, just been on the TRAX '02 website and the person(s) to speak to are James Forrester or Lucy Ferris on 01452 317777. It says that all car club stands are free to bona fide car clubs and the application form has to be signed by one of the clubs commitee member(get paul to forge his dads signature:D) We might have difficulty, as we're really a community not a club:(, but there's no harm in trying:)
Can't really understand why SIDC haven't replied etc to the TRAX '02 situation, after all it's free for a club stand, or, is that the SIDC are more bothered about making money these days that they can't be arsed sorting this great free event for the scooby community, let alone the publicity etc it generates. If last year was too much to organise/run etc then why not ask the members to help as I know I would, infact we did, looking after everyones junk from their boots they didn't want floating round back!!
Anyway, let us know how you get on Phil.

If you're after numbers, count me in. If there's track time available in scoob-only session, I'd also give that a go.
