Right then.....

Based on Simon's post about the barrier deadlock - me thinks it's a good idea that we all (Perhaps on a new area of scoobynet) write reviews on products - obviously not listing what you have so scum can id what you have fitted.....

Also if you have had your car tampered with, broken into or even stolen and if it's not too painful - write what they did to your motor....

This may help others to protect their motor against that kind of attack and i'm sure you'll agree - anything thats gonna help us keep our toys can't be bad....

What we all think to this then ?????

Perhaps I'm just paranoid, but a database of what to do to nick a scooby sounds like an ideal resource for the less than honest who may have internet access...

great idea mirage.

You could always use the "security" section though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

There will be a series of new sections on scoobynet soon and security is a big part of it as I feel that it is important we should all work together to try to protect ourselves.

Cheers

It's never a nice experience. Even if it comes back... you don't always want it to! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Please don't find out the hard way, that your security could be better!

The intent is not "What to do" but more "What they try" so that we can protect ourselves against X type of attack - if you get what I mean.... ??

chiark 02 July 2001 02:24 PM

I know exactly what you mean, but stuff such as "how do I protect against my handbrake cable being cut and the car rolled off" may give scrotes an idea...

(Leave the car in gear)

mirAGE 02 July 2001 02:39 PM

I can see your point - hence why I started a thread to get everybody's input and see if it would work or not.....

I am not looking to fuel any ideas that scum may have so where this may go - I am uncertain.....
