Pop out the useless reflector by lifting it upwards then outwards - there's a spring clip at the top and a fixed tab at the bottom. Clean off the surrounding gap with a cloth so its nice and clean and dry. Peel off the backing from your STi reflector and just stick it on the recess, pressing it firmly all the way round. Make sure you line it up correctly first go though !
I just did mine the other day on my MY02 wagon (along with some smoked side repeaters) and it looks miles better.
And I too was trying to take the reflector apart thinking the STi panel stuck onto the assembly - but after 2 broken fingernails I called Graham Goode who put me on the right track - doh !

I need to change the horrible orange front reflectors on my new STi.

I have bought some carbon lookalike STi ones from Graham Goode but need to know how to change them.

http://www.grahamgoode.com/cgi-bin/p...age=newage.htm Part GGS2059

The orange ones have come out, but how do I seperate the orange cover from the back part? I think I need to attatch the new reflectors to the existing back piece and refit them, is this correct?

The dealer said the new ones just stick straight on to the car but I dont think this is right?

Any comments from anyone who has done this before?

Cheers

Give Trouser (Paul) from TSL a call on 0115 937 7200 www.tsl-motorsport.co.uk.

The do a similar carbon replacement and I think they are bonded to the car.

I have the ones from TSL look great and do stick straight to the space left behind. Was slightly dubious about it at first, but they seem fairly well on there. :)

They do stick directly to the car body. I've got them.

Thanks for all your help. It seem that stuck on is the correct way to go and they are now attached.

Got the smoked indicators too and it looks loads better.

I was just worried someone could peel them off and you dont want to loose them considering how much they cost!

Cheers
