just a quick question.. but can you set up a webstore?

edit- I didn't look at your cv before i asked that question. Ignore my question. Think you're too skilled for the simple thing i'm looking to do.

I've got this DV video that needs converting into a reasonable web friendly format, that can be hosted for people to d/load & have a look at! ;)

Seriously, its not that bad & if you want to do it, I'll bike over a copy. Just make sure my maniacal laughter is removed from the soundtrack!

Well you learn something new everyday and DHTML is in fact one of the same thing! It was officially launched in December 1995 but existed before in Netscape beta 2 as 'Livescript'.

Do you remember linx? ;)

stevem2k 03 August 2002 02:13 PM

do you remember linx

Remember it and still use it for diagnosing http traffic where there isn't a proper webserver at the other end (cf_http requests)

Technically DHTML is JavaScript and CSS. And it's spelled 'Lynx', which is still around so no need to have to remember it ;)

on a command line you might have to type lynx even ;) as i don't think Lynx will work :D (well not on unix - unless you change the filename or symlink it)

Snowcrash,

Ahh, your attempt to out-pedant me will not work this time! I was talking about Lynx the product, not lynx the executable. If I was talking about the executable itself, I would have said "lynx(1)", which then gives clues as to the whereabouts of said executables man page.

;)
