My PC is playing up again and won't boot up. It has win2000 loaded on and when I turn it on it won't boot up from the hard drive. I need to boot from a floppy...one problem...I don't have one!! Is there anywhere I can download from the net the boot instruction onto a floppy so it can switch on?
Luckerly, I still have my old hard drive with windows me still loaded on so I am able to post this message. Cheers Guys Tim |
re-install windows 2000.

One takes it that Mr Taylor still has the original W2K CD????
Therefore, insert into orrifice provided & turn on PC - hey presto :D If nothing happens, then go into BIOS of PC & make CD a boot device - try again :D [Basic steps for a car salesman ;) ] |
Very funny Puff ;)
Got it sorted now - had a moment of clear thought and got it to work. I tried to bot from the CD before but it didn't work for some reason so whilst working from other hard drive using ME ran win2000 disc and found MS-DOS programme on creating boot disc's :) Cheers anyway guys Tim (until the next time ;) ) |
