I tested the STi 7 at a local dealers on Monday(and liked it)he then proceeded to tell me he couldnt sell a Euro import as it has no warranty (they have already done warranty work on it)then when i pointed out that it has, he then said well as you've saved around £5K buying from Belgium i will offer you £12,000 for your car against the STi 7.(Uk car is worth around £17,000 he said)
He was well impressed with the my car and he insisted that he wanted it as it was, with the Rally tech spoiler,MRO front lip,Morrettes, stainless WR exhaust and only 11,500 miles.

He didnt understand why i was laughing all the way out the showroom.
I knew i wouldnt get full UK prices but £12K is laughable.

I have an existing warranty issue with them regarding a faulty carbon handbrake and guess what, they say it could take time due to it being an import.(Its still only 9 months old)

Dealers make me sick.

Agreed Mate - completely pathetic.

Mine told me that my MY02 Belgian was a completely different car from a UK spec, with different body parts & mechanicals.

Would make me larf if it wasn't so utterly sad for grown men to have to lie like that.....

I px'd my old euro import MY00 in April for my STI and got £14.5k. They new it was an import as well, if you want any detatils mail me.

I went into a main dealers in Kendal a while ago and he wouldn't give me a P/X on my MY00 against a P1 because it was a Euro car. How I chucked as I left and decided I wouldn't be 'bothering' them again :D
