Chiark,

I've found FR Pulleyn at York very good and cheap as well.

My last 7500 service was less than £80 http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

They are also more than happy to service Euro Imports.

Cheers,

Ian.

I've been phoning around and have been quoted, lowest - £450 for a non turbo sport

This surely must be way over the top?

Dave P 25 June 2001 12:53 AM

oh well looks like its in the region...

they stung me £20 plus vat for collection and return. They will of course be taking that back as they have never charged me for this in the past.

I guess at the end of the day it depends how far you're prepared to travel to get a cheaper service.

Thanks for the feedback anyway.

Dave

Ok so I've just been invoiced £472 for my 30,000 2 year service.

Includes spark plug change etc etc.

Is this about right or have I been well and truly stung?

Quick advice please before I rant at them for extorsion.

Dave

It's ballpark for the expensive South IMO.
Most seem about that kind of money, less 10pct for SIDC membership. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

£381.42 fixed price at Nobles in Edinburgh.

I'm due for mine as well, and was considering having it done by a local Impreza specialist. Subaru trained guys, all original parts (or better, such as option for K&N panel filter) and only £250 for SIDC members.

Just not quite sure about the warranty.

Andrew.

THAT'S EXTORTION!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif
I paid less than that for my 45k service, and that's the most expensive one!
What dealer is it?
How is the cost broken down?

Stef.

£270.00 all in!!! Seems pretty expensive.

chiark 25 June 2001 11:55 AM

I've been warned that my next service (30k) will be around 420 quid...

Anyone know a good reliable garage in the Yorkshire area who isn't charging the earth?

K T Green - Leeds - 30,000 Mile service:

UK Turbo MY99:

My car 24/01/01 £369.57 (Supplied my own oil)
Girfriends car 31/05/01 £331.86 (Supplied own spark plugs but not oil).

Both include VAT - I get 10% discount on parts.

I have always had good service from K T Greens even though neither car was supplied by them.

Edward.

Had my 30K done about 2 weeks ago:

£330 all in from John Wilding in Kendal.

(and they changed my rear discs under warranty without question).

Would recommend them to anyone.

Andrew...
