Excellent! :D

£200 quid to lose 3 points is worth for insurance purposes alone. Might even learn summink of the safe driving course as well... ;)

Only half the story there.

You should read the full proposal. Its in the Daily Mail today.

86+mph on the motorway = ban

How fooking stupid is that.....

Still don't understand the reluctance on mobile phones? Are the big phone companies the new pay masters of the labour party or something?

ChrisB 25 July 2002 12:07 PM

Is the Mail running a different story then?

"However, the Home Office is to allow a generous margin after motoring groups protested strongly about a proposal for an automatic ban for anyone caught driving at 85mph on a motorway."

+85mph = Ban

That would clear about half the traffic on the motorways...

boomer 25 July 2002 07:01 PM

...and after all the speeders have been banned, that would leave all the tailgaters, clear-day rear-foglighters, centre lane owners club, signal AFTER manouver, red-light jumpers and pull out without looking drivers to commit mayhem without any fear of being prosecuted.

Maybe Guy Fawkes had the right idea!!!

One way to remove congestion.... 85+ = ban

Maybe its congestion charging via the back door  ;)

It's time we all started car jacking and going so fast that the police don't chase you for reasons of safety
