I ordered the Cossie Killer video from Scoobynet, gave my personal hotmail account for confirmation of order, got conf sent from ukworldpay got the vid well happy.

BUT now I get every day at least 20 e-mails of complete crap sent me from spammers.
I've had this address for 2 years and never had one bit of junk...

Has anyone else had this problem after placing an order? I feel sure its this worldpay crew that have passed on my details..

MS

I've ordered stuff several times from Scoobynet and never had any problems - best to check with Simon Da Banke, as I can't believe he would willing let something like this happen.

Cheers
Chris

I ordered CK @ The Ring from the SN Shop. Other than one message from Emma letting me know it wasn't in stock, nothing out of the ordinary on my home account.

Cheers,

ChrisB.

Bear in mind that Hotmail (I think) reserve the right to give your E-mail address to 3rd parties (read your small print)

I stopped using Hotmail due to excess spamming - 180 in one week was taking the pi55. But, it was nothing to do with Scoobynet or any other on-line shopping.

Seems its just me then.. http://www.3dpcgames.com/cwm/s/cwm/cwm/uhoh3.gif

Just seems strange that it happened like a week after I ordered, and I think it the first time I've ever used that address as a contact on orders/downloads etc. I created a different hotmail address to use for this and that gets around 200 a day.!

http://www.planettribes.com/hosed/sm...m/thinkerg.gif Shame the hotmail inbox manager dosn't block messages that are sent to hundreds of addresses at once http://www.planettribes.com/hosed/sm...m/thinkerg.gif

I have _never_ given my hotmail address to anyone (just use it for picking up and sending mail when I'm away). I get 20+ spam emails per week.....

Hi All

I'm sure this is obvious anyway, but just to make it absolutely clear...

WE HAVE NEVER given out email addresses to ANYONE for spam or anything other than for official reasons.

This can ONLY be a coincidence.

Rest assured that your email address will not be given to a third party without your express permission.

Best regards

Simon

Never had a problem.

Would say the problem is else where.

All the best,

never had any problems as a result of scoobyshop.

I get the odd crap from America about diplomas.

My wife gets tons of porn-related spam.

I've logged a call with Microsoft asking them to modify the block sender utility so it works when a senders address is blank.

All you can do is kep adding to the blocked list.

Just don't ever reply- it just confirms you're a real email addy.

A lot of spammers use bots that systematically guess email addys.

It's a real pain.....
