Just bought a P1 and it is still under warranty and I was told I can get 4 new tyres from Subaru as part of a recall. Apparently there is a fault with the P Zero tyres and they have been recalled. Subaru will then kindly replace these free of charge after I have took a little bit of tread off :) Only on 18" wheels though. Anyone else had similar experience?

Not heard anything hence my next question -

Wots the problem wiv P zero's why were they recalled.

That's two questions but I'm curious.

I'm just about to take delivery of a MY99 wagon which is shod all round with P's.

I have the letter here and it is only 18" wheels but it doesn't say what the fault is. Will shave off a few inches......carefully :)

There were several threads about this some time ago. IIRC it was splitting on the inside wall around the tread area and was not easily visible without either taking the wheels off or hoisting the car.
