Very very :)
|
Nice, got a blue black one myself, where'd you get the mud flaps?
|
Mud flaps are OEM jobbis, they're NOT cheap, but seeing as the cars are 27K, it kinda pales into obscurity at purchase time.
Oh, they certainly do the job of stopping the crap flying up the sides of the body. The Blue/Black are set to High(makes a difference on Manx roads) The WRBlue are set to Low. |
These are just like the flaps I am producing!!
Also I have 1 set of these mega-expensive Subaru ones for sale, brand new, still in box unused. Black with STi logos £Loads. |
If at the time of the car(s) purchase, i had known someone on Scoobynet making STi replica flaps, I (probably) would not have bought the OEM ones.
Then again, when the Blue one (read: Girly Car!) was bought, I should have realised my Visa card was making that purchase [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]...http://www.stopstart.btinternet.co.uk/sm/argue.gif...http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/sloppy.gif......http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/smilie/love.gif [Edited by STI MAN - 7/16/2002 10:52:58 PM] |
If you ever need replacements you know where to come ;-)
BTW, black is best, but that blue car looks the dogs nads! |
STI MAN cars look sweeeeeet.
Sorry to sound cheeky but could you or anyone reading this do a photoshop chop on the first picture.????? Silver with black and red sti mud flaps. Cheers (hopefully) Jason :) |
I'll give it a try in a mo...
No good, i'm afraid, It must be said that i'm crap at paint Shop pro. Someone else???? [Edited by STI MAN - 7/17/2002 1:05:47 AM] |
Any takers??????
|
I've got an idea, how about using the blue car pic, turning it to grayscale, and the changing the mudflap colour????;)
|
2 STis. God I envy you.
|
Jason, I don't know if you meant a silver car or silver wheels.

Sorry mate, as an owner of the same blue car with the same blue mud flaps, i'll take the blue car any day ;):)
Black looks nice tho, all the same :) You need to get the pimp tints now and then they'll look truly the dogs b's.... YorkshireSimon |
Seen the thread about the guy selling mudflaps (£120 a set I think).
How does this compare to the genuine ones? Cost? Quality? Ease of fitment? Hole drilling etc?? |
The Pimp tints are on the way ;):D
|
Phil,
How'd you manage to do that anyway? |
Thanks phil thats just what i needed to see,I'll be going for black mud flaps now :D
Cheers Jason :) |
Black flaps and tints for Jason :)
http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpi...4017880596.jpg Sti Man - Did it in Adobe Photoshop playing with the colours and variations tool. Silver is a bugger to do! Phil |
Phil,
If you've got a spare 5 mins could you do the Tints to the original pleeeeese. |

how do u do that in photo shop 7?
|
Hey STI Man,
Not been on in a while (the food in Nobles ain't too bad !) Here's a pic of my sti. As a result of the bike, the sti will be parked up for some time to come! http://upload.turbosport.co.uk/getpi...3057818096.jpg If you see my wife driving it around town, make sure she treats it well; if not let me know !! Will give you a wave from the front pax seat of th frontera if I see you ! ken |
Crikey, what happened KenB?????
Wasn't you that caused the Promenade fisty cuffs during the TT was it?? ;) P.S. Gold wheels....Gold wheels....Goooooooold wheels.....it might sink in. How do manage not to square the Superleggera's over here then??? [Edited by STI MAN - 7/18/2002 6:10:30 PM] |
Is it just me, or does anyone else agree that the Sti Prodrives (or any other Scoob with a big wing) look fantastic from behind with the mudflaps?
For me its the most effective looks improving mod (not to mention paint saving) for the money - even paying OE prices  D |
Sti Man,
Clipped another bike at the end of Cronk-y-voddy (my fault i'm afraid). Big mess and lots of plastic everywhere - didn't see him in the undulating road ! = silly boy. Knee and ligaments are in a serious mess, even with body armour. Still, have to say the police and ambulance service have been great. Not guilty in regards to causing the scene on the prom (I don't think?? It was a beer injested time.) Wheels match the bike - never heard of colour co ordination? :) (and besides, it came with them fitted) :) And gold is just soooo common!! Resigned to the pax seat of the 'fire engine' for months to come. Any tips for keeping the scoob roadworthy?? :( ken (edited for spelling - I'm under the influence of drugs still ! Prescription of course) [Edited by kenb@manx - 7/19/2002 2:54:03 PM] |
