Considering changing my wheels so that I can avoid spacers and have 4 pot brakes...

They are gold Prodrive 17" x 7" Super T 6/12 spoke things with prodrive centre caps.

Assuming they are in reasonable condition how much does anyone think they are worth (with and without tyres)?

Depending on what new wheels I look at, there may be tires as well. These are 6 month old PZeros. Plenty of wear left.

Apologies for hi-jacking your post but why will you need spacers?

I thought 4pots fitted fine under 17" wheels, at least I hope they do as I've ordered my 4pots which should be arriving today. Will I need spacers? My wheels are 17" Speedline jobbies, same as those off an RB5, I think.

Can anyone shed some light on this, starting to panick now!

Nearly forgot, check the for sale section re. your wheels, there's often a set on there so you can guage what yours are worth. Could be anything from £500 - £650. I think you can pick up package deels brand new with tyres for about £850 - £900.

The clearance is more down to the design of the wheel, I think, not just the size. The MY00 came with 16" wheels over 4 pots. Offset is of paramount importance too, as I understand. I've noticed a few people have speedlines, so you should be OK.

I'm sure someone will give you a proper answer soon.

The Prodrive Superturismo (aka Speedline Chrono) will NOT fit over 4 pot brakes, you will need 7mm spacers to get the clearance. The wheels fitted to the RB5 look similar to these but they come out and go back in at the top to give the clearance.

I have 4 pot calipers already, but they don't do much good in the kitchen ;)

The Chronos have to be changed (or the brakes sold), as I don't really want to risk wheel bearing problems etc. by using spacers.

The wife would like P1 type wheels, I fancy the RB5 type.
Needless to say we'll compromise and have the P1 wheels.
(My excuse for having P1 suspension as well...)
(17"x7" prefered, as then I can keep my new(ish) PZeros)

Haven't seen any chronos for sale for ages, so was just wondering what they were worth.

Sorry, didn't read your post properly, thought you had OZ Super T's rather than the Prodrive/Speedline's that I've also got.

I'm confused now as speaking to Graham Goode where I've ordered the 4pots from, they say that they should fit behind the Speedline's. Forgot to say, I've only ordered the STI kit, not the AP one.

With regard to your wheels, think I saw a set for sale recently for about £300 - £350 although can't remember whether this is with or without tyres.

Thanks - It's good to see people's thoughts. I think you can get 45mm offset Speedline Chronos (prodrive Super Ts) just to confuse the issue! (Although I believe not from Prodrive)

£300 £350 doesn't sound too bad. Will have to keep looking out for some RB5/P1 wheels when I next get paid :)
