My Forge VTA dump valve has like a foam filter around the vent ports. I've seen a few pics of others that don't have this. What is it there for, is there any point to it or should I remove it?

Cheers.

Have you been cleaning it for the Hickstead Meet, left the sponge in the engine bay and its been sucked in by that giant Forge Dumper of yours :) :)

Mine never had this on it..

I assume its to stop the crud getting in, did you buy it new with it on?

ScoobyJawa 08 July 2002 10:07 PM

From a mate who bought it from ScoobySport, he said it had always been on............

No-one??!?!?! Awaiting reply from Forge at the mo.

Other MY99+ Forge owners, do yours have a filter or not?

ScoobyJawa 09 July 2002 04:15 PM

Aha, Reply from forge was:

"This is the upmarket version with a simple filter added on , It will work just fine with or with out the filter."
