It was me in the UK300, you all went to the services and we went on in. Had a great day, met the 5 door on A14 Cambs/Hunt and WRX on M1 north bound. Came on in from Suffolk ... any one else about in this part of the world ??

Blue Flame 15 July 2002 05:10 PM

I was the UK300, had good run in from Cambs/Hunt A14 with one of you and the other on the M1 north bound. Saw one of you on the track PM. Good day had by all... came in from Suffolk anyone else around that area ??

Hello Blue flame :D

Blue Flame 15 July 2002 09:49 PM

I guess that gives you another - "Was it you(s)?" !! Did you enjoy the track - did not quite have the bottle - enjoyed watching everyone else. Never thought that one car could apear in so many differant variations !!
Do you travel about a lot ?

davyboy 15 July 2002 09:57 PM

Track was cool, not as much fun as Nurburgring this weekend though!!

That would indicate I travel a lot, but generally stay local, Northampton is nice and central.

You have to have a go on track, at the 'ring you are probably insured, on a UK track I have never had insurance.

Blue Flame 15 July 2002 10:07 PM

Yes but travelling a lot is great fun in one of these !! Clocked a lot of miles in mine and over 100k in the one before .... never missed a beat.. apart from me on the odd bend or two !! Have you done anything to yours in prep for the track .. was baffled by all the mods that were on show on all the cars.. is it worth it all ?

davyboy 15 July 2002 10:22 PM

I have eibachs, goodridge brake hoses, ferodo 2500 front pads, scooby sport zaust and ITG filter.

I think the brake upgrade is a good mod, as is the eibachs.

But I have taken it on track fairly standard and it was fine.

Blue Flame 15 July 2002 11:11 PM

Thats all great stuff, but being a bit new to doing them up - where do you go to get all this done and who and rough cost. We all reconed that the most important was the brakes, as I saw some standard ones which were belting out smoke after a few laps at speed, somehow you got to absorb all energy, and that is a LOT of friction, or gravel rash !! - Just need pointing in the right direction ... cheers, oh yer what about the strut thing between the two front wheels - over the engine, but under the engine lid all seemed to be blue for some reason !!

Depends where you live, but TSL did all my stuff.

Give them a call and ask for Paul (Trouser on Scoobynet)
