as requested posted on Scoobynet for a mate!
: it could be you next! A Cry For Help Hi all, I am after some help here. About 2 months ago some toe rag smacked into my evo whilst I was sat at a junction. Bad enough, but when I found out he gave the wrong details to me I was a little anoyed to say the least, I think my exact words were something like "oh deary me, that's most unfortunate" Anyway the one thing I do have is the registration number of his car, I have tried the dvla and they were no help. What I am asking is if any one spots the car to please contact me and let me know. It was a red sierra reg no B218 XTT, he said he was from the Patchway area in Bristol , and the fact that he was able to quote an exact address and house number that actually exsited leads me to believe he is from the Bristol area. I would really appreciate it if someone could post this on the scooby site too for me: as requested posted on the scoob! Colie. [Edited by Colie - 7/7/2002 7:06:41 PM] |
well, I don't live in Bristol but I'll keep an eye out, can't be that many Sierra's left now!

cheers Bob!

I have to admit that this sort of person hacks me off but try going to the police or go though your insurance as they should be able to track them down.
(i use to own B113 XTT BTW ;)) Tony:D |
i agree tony, complete p!ss off.

I really hope your mate finds him. And kills him and his friends, family, pets everything!!!
In cases like this you really need to ask for proof of name, address from the other party. (OK they may have dodgy documents too) If you're not happy call the Police. Failing to give insurance details tends to point towards no insurance so a serious offence. Again I hope the guy burns to death slowly! Richard |
Rich,
you d'man... burn baby burn! ;) . Colie |
Colie,
definitely report this to the police. It has to be close to "failing to stop", as the other driver intentionally gave false information - and the police should treat it seriously. Your mates insurance company should also be able to help out (with or without legal cover) as it appears that the other driver is at fault. I am sure that they will be able to trace the reg. Good luck! mb |
This happened to a mate at work. The police were not interested and were actually at the scene if I remember correctly. As far there concermed it was a civil matter I don't know if she ever got it resolved
