Yes but its HKS :)

I believe the nut that you refer to is indeed the adjustment for the spring, mine needs a little bit of fine adjustment because when I partly lift off (slightly), I get the 'WRC chatter' and a shuddering through the car...I think it is the effect of the boost air trying to stall the impeller (?).

I will get round to it soon, its on the list.

Cheers MD.

Edited to say, cos it is not 'dumping' at that slight lift-off point, if I let off completly it is fine...ptttuuuusssshhhh :)

Wots the black nut on the HKS SQV dump valve for???

Havent seen it, but I would gues it is to preload up the spring inside the unit. Cars with an airflow meter would need a stiffer setting, so that the vacuum in the pipe would not pull the dump valve open, causing incorrect air flow meter readings due to air leaking past it at part throttle etc. This would mean however that the dump valve would not open just as easily as it would with a softer setting, and you WHOOSH might not be as loud. If you are into big WHOOSHes. I guess if you are spending near £300 on a dump valve, you must like your WHOOSHes. What a rip off.
