From memory the fob and the alarm can get out of sync, to reset this I think you have to press and hold the two buttons together for a few secs, hopefully it will reset itself.

The remote did not unlock the car so I had to open it with the key and let the siren sound (nice and embarrassing) and then put the code in with counting the LED flashes to start the car. Don't have the other remote with me. The remote battery voltage was 3.0 so I put in a fresh battery with a healthier 3.2V (fresh) but the remote still does not arm/disarm the alarm.

I don't have the manual on me- anyone know if there is a key reprogramming sequence after a battery change?

PS. I had no idea of what the answer was, and my Sigma manual was no help.

I don't keep the alarm manual in the car for obvious reasons. Thanks again. Funny, an old man (whose nice house I was outside with a blaring car alarm) with his stick and dog wanted to help me find the "broken wire" LOL. And then me counting LED flashes in bright sunlight trying not to look dodgy ;)

Hello John , Andrew here . Funny you should have a problem with your alarm .Sometimes when I unlock my car it immediately locks again itself not setting the alarm , if I push it again it sets the alarm , another to disarm !! Maybe something in the air???
I am going to ask dealer when in for service !!
p.s. my car is going great ...the only problem is I am going to have to improve the handling !!!!
