Mike Rainbird 24 January 2000 06:45 PM

Dear All,
Just out of interest I was wondering who and what cars are going. Simon will the Lotus be in attendance and Nightmare what about the Lambo?!
Mike

Mike Tuckwood 24 January 2000 07:55 PM

OOOhhh Yes!

igratton 24 January 2000 08:20 PM

Yep...I'll be there to try and not destroy my new car (the green one has gone).

This one is not the five door green farm vehicle (remember Mr Rain..?). Its now a Blue MY2000 4 door car. I Banzai (I think this is becomming the Jap car Max Power...oh dear!) reckons that the 5 door handles better...I'll be trying to find out. (we already know the answer).

Cheers

Ian

So Mr Bird....Cossie or Lotus that is the question....what is the answer ?

sunilp 24 January 2000 08:44 PM

I'll be going in a Porker GT3

Mike Rainbird 24 January 2000 08:56 PM

Dear I Gratton,
How could I possibly forget my second slowest ever ride round Donno (first being awarded to Anders in Mr Squires 22B) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

I will be there in the Cossie, as I want to make you all eat humble pie when an eleven year old car kicks Impreza butt!

Sunilp,
Please tell me the Porker's going on the track as well, 'cos the Cossie's hungry for some bacon to go with the sushi!
LOL
Mike
PS And yes I do know what a GT3 is...!

ChrisB 24 January 2000 09:29 PM

Yes i feel the need to shag some more tyres..count me in !!! Sunil old boy use parafin mixed with a little squirt of fairy liquid. Brush on the gloopy mix and then wash off with hose. ( thats for your wheels, I dont know what to suggest for your RASH !)

johnfelstead 25 January 2000 12:33 AM

I'll be going to watch as my cossie has been sold, Sob, Sob.

I might do something stupid before then however, like buy a 4.7 litre westfield V8.

I am seriously considering that for the track.

If still only in the sport, any chance of a run in a proper car mike?

robski 25 January 2000 12:34 AM

Rekon I will be along, not to go on track tho.

Mike, another eastern convoy?

robski

Craig H 25 January 2000 08:52 AM

Hopefully I'll be there - although sod's law says that'll be the weekend I move. Still, at least when I do, I'll only be 5 mins from Donno.

Ian Cook 25 January 2000 09:25 AM

Blow dog, try and give Pete a call on 01268 590085, i think you may have to send the cheque to LTR not Pete, the address is in the Events section, but speak to Pete first.

DAZ 25 January 2000 12:44 PM

ill be there

daz

Mike Rainbird 25 January 2000 02:05 PM

John & Robski,
No problemo - just bring change of underpants - as I don't know the track!
LOL
Mike

Richard Gledhill 25 January 2000 02:54 PM

Yeah, I'll come along again. Might even clean it this time http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Let's see if we can beat the 220+ we had last time...

Stef? You're very quite at the moment?

Cheers
Richard

Akira 25 January 2000 03:28 PM

C'mon !!!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Hope to be on track.
LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE.

Another big convoy North along the M1? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Later,
Chris

johnfelstead 25 January 2000 03:33 PM

mike,

i did over 300 laps of donno last year so will be ace as a navigator, i got the line down craner spot on, miss the final turn in point and you can loose a second easy.

cheers
john

Danny Fisher 25 January 2000 03:41 PM

John, are you willing to navigate a scoob track novice then.... I need a teacher.

Dan

TonyB 25 January 2000 04:29 PM

Can't wait - We'll see how well my Group N Discs, Pagid and Goodridge stand up to the punishment, but I can't help thinking that Proper Brakes (a La Brembo or AP) are the way to go.

Any rides to demonstrate their relative merits would be welcome.

Anyone know if there will be Subaru only sessions like last March, or are we adding to the fun by mixing it with these 'lesser vehicles'?

See ya - and at Cadwell!

Tony

Blow Dog 25 January 2000 04:43 PM

Tony,
A word of advice mate, I also have the group N spec discs and pads, put on very nicely but that lovely old man at scoobys. Pete will second me on this, although they are much much much much more superior to the standard discs and pads of the impreza, they still need taking care of. When I was at Donnington last year, the pads and discs were heating up immensely, but then I was braking VERY late. I recommend 4-5 laps MAX before you pit in and wait 15-20 mins cool down before you go out. And be prepared to spend a lot on petrol. I went through £140.00 on the track alone. £200.00 in total for the day, and out of my own pocket too =(
Cem

Danny Fisher 25 January 2000 04:45 PM

Where can we get this magic stuff called PETROL from, is there a station close to the track.

Sorry for such a stupid question but I haven't been there before.

Dan

martin b 25 January 2000 05:04 PM

I'll be there too, just to spectate,or maybe cadge a few laps.
Anyone offering ?

Ian Cook 25 January 2000 06:11 PM

Danny, I will check if its open, but there is actually a petrol station in the paddock, that does 98 (or 97 whatever the hell it is now) http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Nightmare 25 January 2000 07:05 PM

Mike..... I think I might be able to make this one... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif though work schedule is somewhat busy over next few months.... If I do I'll bring my Peugeot 106 diesel - it needs a good thrash against some equal competition http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Night

DaveU 25 January 2000 07:08 PM

I'll be there!

I'm going in my Skyline ( http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif) and it's the first time i've ever actually DRIVEN on the track (Santa Pod doesn't really count! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif) Any experts who know the track really well and want to assist me round it? (from the passenger seat before you ask!)

DaveU

GAZZER 25 January 2000 10:37 PM

I will be there.
Hope it wont be raining so I can use the slicks.
I have just put new rubber all round and don't fancy wrecking them before Catalunya.

If it is pi----g down may consider using part worns from Tyres Northampton.

See You there.
Gaz
