Can anyone advise???

I have just had the following wheels "Shot Blasted" back to the pourus(Sp?) Alloy ready for priming.

I am going to have a friend of the family (Sprayer) spray them.

1. Can anyone advise what sort of paint to be used and where it can be found?

Whoever sprayed them b4, Silver/Gold the paint cracked and left the wheels looking very bad (Gold Bits coming through!) It appears that the wheel wasn't treated (rubbed down etc.) b4 spraying & I know this wouldn't of helped but i don't really want it happening again.

2. Is it possible to achieve an anthracite p1 finish like below using paint? If so what products have you seen/recomend?

3. Any tips for laquering(Sp?) ??

4. If anybody has had similar done can u post i picture. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance

I had some gold wheels shot blasted and re done in anthracite...

Mine weren't sprayed though - powder coated and 'baked' on. Not sure what results you'd get from spraying TBH.

Hmmm... bit darker than in my pic but then again does look like you've been having fun that day!

Oh yes, fun that day. That's my car with Andy Bond and the old Askew Ambulance in Wales, the last Sunday before Christmas last year. Corking day, although a bit slippy up some of the isolated valleys! :)

I had a good chat to guy who did mine as there's quite a choice of powder colours available - worth maybe finding somebody local and having a word.
